Get more performance from your stock battery with Axon boost mode. Below are CONSERVATIVE estimates of the performance boost you will receive using a stock battery and our Phase controller.
Each user can tweak and test the boost values to get the maximum performance out of their battery. Please note this is not a magic button and it is based 100% on your battery and the BMS logic conditions. We have designed this so users can get the absolute maximum out of a BMS before shut off.
It cannot give you more power than the BMS threshold that is set by your battery manufacturer. However, from our testing and test rider feedback we have been very pleased with the gains achievable. Please see the BMS Boost page under the app heading for more information on how boost works.

BACKGROUND
The Axon Phase controller has been designed from the ground up to provide a high quality aggressively priced entry into the e-bike modification arena. Not only is it stacked with features, when bundled with its accessories it is a cheaper offering than many of its competitors.
The team developing the controller has decades of experience working in this sector and also the dirt bike industry. The work completed on the Phase controller represents the best part of 18 months of design, testing and development. We have used the current market offering as a bench mark for our controller and we believe it is not only the cheapest for its feature set, but also one of the best performing out there.
The controller itself was designed by our teams in Japan & China. The Axon team owns infrastructure in both Japan and China and going forward will continue to design and develop products for the electric vehicle / bike market. The Phase controller represents the first Axon branded controller in what we plan to be a line of several offerings.

EXTERNAL CASING DESIGN
Full CNC 6061 T6 casing designed and machined by us to optimise heat dissipation and cooling. 6061 Aluminium is perfect for this application as it is strong, very resistant to corrosion and gives a better and more unformal anodized finish.
WHY USE 6061 ALUMINIUM?
6061 Aluminium is perfect for this application as it is strong, better thermal conductivity, very resistant to corrosion, easier to machine and gives a better and more unformal anodized finish.
The final heatsink is machined then anodized in black. It is then taken back onto the CNC machines for additional work to expose the design work. Once this is completed it is then re-treated to prevent discolouration.
Machined into the heatsink are mounting positions for both Talaria sting and Sur-Ron Light Bee bikes. For Sur-Ron Ultra Bee an additional aluminium bracket is provided.

The pcb has also been designed to include high quality well spread capacitors improving filtering and power delivery across the board giving smooth, stable and reliable performance.

FULLY ADJUSTABLE THROTTLE AND - REGEN THUMB THROTTLE
The Axon Phase controller offer a fully adjustable main throttle & regen braking throttle which can be customized via the Axon App. Adjust the main throttle launch / acceleration curve and the regen braking curve on the fly and easily with our intuitive control system.
You can also adjust the max brake torque to your own preference.

GYRO SUPPORT WITH WHEELIE AND SAFETY MODES (BETA).
The Axon Phase controller comes ready with the hardware required to support IMU functions. Using a gyro on these types of bikes can have numerous benefits from safety to gaining more control while racing and performing stunts. Check out the modes that we are currently working on and we will be releasing very soon with an app update.
GYRO FUNCTIONALITY (PUBLIC BETA)
SIMPLE EASY & EASY TO UNDERSTAND
While the control system for the gyro is fairly complicated we have simplified its use in the app so it is easy and straight forward to use. The icons will help explain the bike angles and settings are changed via a simple slider which is easy enough for anyone to understand and use seamlessly.
LAUNCH MODE
5° - 15°
When activated Launch mode will prevent your bike wheel from lifting past the designated angle . You can set the maximum angle for this using the slider. This is a perfect feature for drag racing or situations where you need to pull hard without the worry of the wheel lifting too much and losing control.
To use simply set the max angle you want the bike to reach before the controller limits further movement.
ANTI ROLL MODE
15° - 60°
When activated Anti Roll mode will prevent your bike your bike from tipping over. You can set the maximum angle for this so you are comfortable riding. This is a perfect feature for beginners or people just getting used to throttle control and works well as a safety feature.
To use simply set the max angle you want the bike to reach before the controller limits further moevement.
STUNT MODE
30° - 100°
When activated, Stunt Mode will actively assist in keeping the front wheel up while preventing you from tipping over. You can set the maximum and minimum angles based on the bike’s tipping point and your personal preference.

BOOST MODE
Unlock your batteries potential with our customizable boost feature. Simply fill in your battery information on our app and the controller will manage your discharge allowing you to get everything you can extract out of the battery without hitting the BMS cut off . This is fully adjustable according to your batteries specifications and perfect for when you need a short extra burst of power. This feature can also easily be disabled for less experienced users.

RACE MODE
Introducing the Axon Race mode for both our app and via the web. When used in conjunction with our App you can take your riding to the next level with 0-60 drag and top speed race modes. Featuring leader boards, user profiles and full telemetry data visible to all users. Data show includes bike information, speed over time, torque requested and delivered, Power in KW vs RPM, DC /Phase, Voltage Drop, Voltage vs DC current, Temperatures, G-Force and Race pathing with mapping.

SELF DIAGNOSIS AND HELP MODES
CONTROLLER ERROR DIAGNOSTICS VIA THE AXON APP
Every controller will also report the last two errors in the diagnostic menu so technical support can better understand the issues you are having.
Each controller will have a unique serial number allowing us to easily find you and provide assistance if you have.
In the event of an error a full set of diagnostics will also be sent directly to Axon technical support so they will be able to help if required.
Here you will be informed of the origin of the error along with possible causes and a checklist for you that may fix the issue.
If an error occurs you will be alerted on the app at the top of the dashboard screen. If you click on the arrow you will be taken to the controller diagnostics menu.
Axon has designed our APP with a simple diagnostic system that allows users to gain information on errors with possible causes and solutions to the problem.

Striving to use the most advanced motor control methods, we've developed TorqueMAP FOC, which relies on a unique mapping table tailored to each motor supported by the Phase controller. This allows the controller to deliver precise torque output for a smooth and powerful throttle response.
